The History
Production of catalysers, which causes molecular cracking of hydrocarbons began in 1940 when the RAF sent a squadron of Hurricane fighter aircraft to Murmansk in the USSR. The quality of fuel was poor and the performance of the Rolls- Royce- Merlin engine was low as well.To overcome this problem a team of scientists and engineers developed a catalytic system to improve the quality of feul available, and improve the performance of the engine. With the few resources available at the time, the team created a “pill” made of special alloys that had such good results that the Hurricanes could even use the low quality of Communist fuel.Today, using modern techniques, we optimized the original model, significantly reducing the dimensions and the weight of the system. At the same time, the combination of magnets and new alloys allow us to obtain better performance.
